What is Trans-personal Art Therapy?
There are many appraoches to theraputic Art. I gravitate to the Trans-personal approach which is concern with common human problems and conditions which other mental health professionals encounter.
The goal of healing is not to adjust to the prevailing society but to touch and embrace and bring into one's daily life that state which has been called liberation, enlightenment, individuation, self-realisation or gnosis. In psychological terms, it means revealing the true self.
Trans-personal is a path to self-realisation. We are shown how to unlock the hidden dimensions of ourselves, and use these dimensions to:

Transpersonal work provides people in chronic health situations or crises with an alternative to the prevalent symptom suppression approach of most helath professional.
